Diptyque, Philosykos Eau de Toilette
In Greek "Philosykos" means "the friend of the fig tree", referring to Plato who was wild about these fruits and attributed them with the power to strengthen intelligence. It is in memory of a house that Desmond Knox Leet and Yves Coueslant used to live in on Mount Pelion in Thessalie that this eau de toilette was created.
The success of Diptyque's Philosykos lies in the natural olfactory balance it exudes, as the whole of the fig tree can be found in it. The leaves and the flower of the fig tree add a touch of green freshness that the woody note of white cedar finishes off. The sap and the resin of the tree are also used to give more complexity to the structure of the perfume.
